5th Grade
In 5th grade I got the Presidential Award for Academic Excellence. I recieved that in 2008 and it was my first real award that I earned myself.
6th Grade
In 6th grade, I recieved a trophy and certificate for getting high honors all year. It was hard work, but it was worth it.
7th Grade
In 7th grade, I recieved a trophy and certificate for getting high honors for each marking period. This was the second year that I have gotten this award.
8th Grade
8th grade was a big year for me.
For the third time, I recieved a trophy and certificate for getting high honors for each marking period.
There was a Memorial Day Essay Contest that we had to write and out of the whole grade. I worked extremely hard on my essay. My hard work paid off, and I won the contest. I recieved a plaque and got to be a part of my town's Memorial Day Parade. I was so honored to be in the parade.
In 8th grade, I also received the Connecticut Scholar Leader Award. This is one of my most proudest accomplishments. I was chosen to represent my entire school at a banquet.
It was graduation time at Seymour Middle School. Each grade in our school was split into two teams. The teams were chosen randomly. I was on the gold team for 8th grade and I recieved an award for having the highest grade average out of everyone on the gold team. I had to present a speech that I wrote my self during the graduation ceremony, representing our team. I was proud of myself, and I knew that I should keep this up and strive for the best.
